The purpose of the Swiss FinTech Awards is to promote Swiss fintech, insurtech and blockchain innovators and to contribute to the strong Swiss fintech ecosystem. The Awards recognize outstanding fintech, insurtech and blockchain start-ups as well as fintech influencers. The winners are chosen by a renowned jury consisting of 20 fintech experts (see list below). This year’s winners are DeepJudgeStableton Financial and Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer.

FinTech Influencer of the Year

For outstanding personalities or organizations who have advanced the Swiss fintech ecosystem. The candidates are nominated by the jury members. There’s no public application process.

Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer receives the Swiss FinTech Award, among other things, for the promotion of open dialogue among all relevant stakeholders and for his efforts to strengthen the international positioning of the Swiss fintech and financial center, as well as the numerous initiatives such as the fintech sandbox and fintech licence or the strategic forum for open finance. All these (and more) efforts by Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer are central to a vibrant fintech scene in Switzerland.

  • Application phase ends for start-ups. No applications can be accepted after this deadline.

  • The top 5 candidates of the categories «Early Stage Start-up of the Year» and «Growth Stage Start-up of the Year» will be announced.

  • Accenture’s Boot Camp for top 5 start-ups of the categories «Early Stage Start-up of the Year» and «Growth Stage Start-up of the Year» takes place. At the Boot Camp, start-ups benefit from free coaching from various experienced advisors and fintech entrepreneurs. Furthermore, start-ups prepare the speed dating event where they meet all the jury members.

  • Speed dating event for top 5 start-ups of the categories «Early Stage Start-up of the Year» and «Growth Stage Start-up of the Year» with all jury members and members of the awards supporters club takes place. Start-ups meet important decision makers and influencers from the finance and fintech industry. At this event, start-ups pitch to the audience and expand their network.

  • The awards finalists will be announced. The finalists can pitch at the leading fintech conference «FinTech 2022» by Finanz und Wirtschaft Forum.

  • Start-up finalists pitch at Finanz und Wirtschaft Forum «FinTech 2022». In the evening, the award ceremony takes place at the «Swiss FinTech Awards Night 2022»
